Install & setup
Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit). 4 GB RAM minimum, 8 GB recommended. About ~677 MB disk space. Hardware encoding benefits from a recent NVIDIA / Intel / AMD GPU — the software fallback still works fine on older machines.
Not yet for the beta build. Windows SmartScreen will show a "More info → Run anyway" prompt on first install. Code-signing is on the roadmap before general release.

Yes — unlimited undo within a session. Your timeline state is checkpointed, not just your last export.
98% crash-free in internal testing. The remaining 2% are mostly GPU-driver edge cases on hybrid-graphics laptops — we're actively fixing these during the beta phase.
Captions & AI
Yes. Whisper runs fully locally — your audio never leaves your machine and we never see it.
On clean studio English the medium model hits ~96% word accuracy. For accents or noisy rooms, switch to the large-v3 model for ~92%.
Not in V1. Custom voice training is on the roadmap — beta tester feedback will help prioritise when it lands.

App purchases go through the Microsoft Store, billed securely by Microsoft. Your financial data is never stored on our end.

No. There is no cloud renderer. Your files stay on your disk and all AI processing runs on your own CPU/GPU.
